Lieutenant General Manoj Mukund Naravane Will Be Next Army Chief, See

Bodo Press : Lt Gen Manoj Mukund Naravane is going to become the next chief of the Indian Army. Lieutenant General Naravane is currently serving as the Deputy Chief of Army Staff. Army Chief General Bipin Rawat is scheduled to retire on 31 December. In September this year, he took the responsibilityof Vice Chief of Army Staff. Earlier, Lieutenant General Narvane was handling the Eastern Command of the Army. The Army's Eastern Command takes care of India's nearly 4,000-km border with China. In his 37 years of service, Lieutenant General Naravane has considerable experience working in a highly active anti-terrorism environment. He has also commended the National Rifles Battalion in Jammu and Kashmir and the Army Brigade on the Eastern Front. General Navarane has also been a part of the Indian Peace Keeping Force in Sri Lanka. Lieutenant General Nabarane is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and the Indian Military Academy. He was commissioned in June 1980 in the 7th Battalion of the Sikh Light Infantry Regiment.
